  1. Calculate flakes needed.
    CalculatorUse our calculator
    or
For full coverage of chips multiply the square footage by .08 to .1.
    For example: 400 square feet needs 400 x .08 = 32 pounds, to 400 x .1 = 40 pounds.
The chips come in 20- and 40-pound boxes.
  2. Prepare the Floor (see “6 steps to epoxy flooring success”)
  3. Apply Epoxy and full Flakes.
The epoxy is ICE 100, or ICE low temp 100, if the temperature is below 55degrees. It is a High-build, self-priming epoxy. The coverage rate is 100 square feet per gallon, and the epoxy comes in a 2-part kit. Part A and part B combine to make a Gallon of Epoxy with a Pot-Life of around 30 minutes.
  4. Scrape floor and apply urethane.
After scraping the floor and removing the excess chips, apply 2 coats of ICU 245 Urethane. The coverage rate is 250 square feet per gallon (375 square feet per 1 1/2 gallon kit) for the first coat, and 350 square feet per gallon (525 square feet per 1 1/2 gallon kit) for the second  coat. Each kit is 1 gallon of part A + 1/2 gallon of part B.
